Pushed the S24 Ultra’s Pro Mode to its absolute limit at 14,700 ft in Hanle (India's Dark Sky Reserve). Still can't believe a phone sensor captured this.
Standing under the Bortle 1 skies in Hanle at nearly 15,000 feet is an experience I don't think I’ll ever get over. There is zero light pollution out there—once your eyes adjust to the dark, the Milky Way is so bright it literally casts a faint shadow on the ground.
I wanted to see what my Samsung S24 Ultra could actually do without relying on heavy AI modes, so I bypassed the default night presets and dialed everything in manually using Pro Mode.
Between the freezing Ladakh wind and trying not to breathe too hard while setting up the shot, my hands were completely numb, but seeing this pop up on the screen after the long exposure finished felt unreal. Crazy how far mobile sensors have come.
