Via a node
Online — the message goes to a node and waits for the recipient, even if they are offline. The node stores only ciphertext.
With a network, messages travel through nodes. Without one — from phone to phone, over Wi-Fi Direct and the local network. Everything is encrypted on your devices, and the traffic looks like an ordinary website.

How it works
Online — the message goes to a node and waits for the recipient, even if they are offline. The node stores only ciphertext.
Offline — phones find each other over Wi-Fi Direct and the local network and pass messages along like a relay race.
To your ISP the connection looks like a regular WebSocket of a regular site. A scanner sees a web page, not a messenger.
Everyone who saw the message keeps it until it is delivered. Once the recipient opens it, copies are wiped across the network.

Dictator 1.0
“Dictator 1.0” is our algorithm for checking public posts. It runs right on your device: a post is checked before it ever leaves for the network.
Post rejected: profanity
The check took milliseconds and ran on the device. The node re-checks public posts with the same algorithm — it cannot see your chats.
Features
Just a nickname and a password. Move your account to another device with a transfer string and your password.
QR code, invite link or nickname. You can only message someone after they accept.
Up to 50 MB at a time. GIF search goes through the node too — no tracking.
The radar shows who has O2 on the same network or over Wi-Fi Direct.
Nicknames are pinned in a blockchain. Newcomers get welcome tokens they can send to friends.
One account, one protocol. Light and dark themes.
Our own sticker set and hundreds of searchable emoji — right under the message field.
Run up to three pages with their own @handles — separate profiles for a blog, a business or a community.
Voice messages with seeking and speed, square video messages, notifications with message text.
Free. No ads. No phone number.

FAQ
Only that an encrypted envelope arrived for someone and how long it should live. It cannot see the text, the sender, the message type or files. The server never has your password or keys.
The app switches to other nodes, and if there are none it keeps working through nearby phones. Anyone can run their own node.
Phones with O2 find each other over Wi-Fi Direct and the local network and carry encrypted envelopes. Meet someone on the way — hand it over. The recipient gets the message once they are near any carrier or online.
No. Keys are derived from the password on your device and exist nowhere else. That is the price of nobody but you being able to get them.
An on-device check for public posts: profanity, 18+ and illegal content are blocked before sending. Private chats are never checked, and the text goes nowhere.
O2 needs no phone number, encrypts every private chat end-to-end by default and keeps delivering messages without internet — through nearby phones.
For now we distribute directly — faster and more independent. The APK is signed with our key, and updates install on top.
